Kristen Barlar

Director of Operations

Kristen Barlar has spent her career working in both the sales and operational sides of business.  She has a proven track record of increasing company profits, procedural efficiencies and managing multiple teams throughout an organization. Kristen has successfully headed a new division for a widely respected business, increasing their revenue dramatically and earning the company national recognition from Johnson Controls as their National Distributor of the year. She has also been responsible for sales, marketing, website design, incentive trip programs, brochure designs, store layouts, day to day organizational operations and the creation of intensive sales training programs. Kristen manages over 25 employees across 7 teams amongst 2 offices, incorporating business development, sales, program administration, project management, warehouse, inventory, and other departments. Kristen emphasizes strong communication amongst her team members, a value which she demonstrates in her interactions companywide.

Having managed hundreds of energy efficiency projects, Kristen upholds a robust operational background. She has created new, and solidified existing distribution and subcontractor relationships, created and oversaw the implementation of new policies and systems and increased overall customer satisfaction following installation.  She has designed and implemented multiple procedures to assist World Energy Efficiency Services with internal efficiencies, as well as heading material procurement and instituting bulk purchasing initiatives leading to an increase in overall profitability.  She has been with the company since January 2013 when she joined World Energy Solutions, Inc.  (XWES) during which time she has been a major contributor to the company’s growth.

Kristen has a BS Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lowell.
