Rick Galipeau

Rick Galipeau has spent his career in multiple sectors of the energy industry. He was with Northeast Utilities for 21 years in the Conservation and Load Management Group where he managed Commercial and Industrial program design and implementation. Rick has proven to be a superb leader in the industry and was subsequently recruited to serve as Director of Business Development for RISE Engineering. In this role, Rick was responsible for expanding RISE’s presence in the Northeast which led to significant revenue growth during his 5 year tenure with RISE.
In June 2010, Rick co-founded Northeast Energy Solutions, LLC, which in October of 2011 was subsequently acquired by World Energy Solutions, Inc. (XWES). Shortly after the integration of both companies, Rick was promoted to Vice President General Manager of the Energy Efficiency Division, overseeing operations in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Rick grew the business exponentially during this time and obtained Small Business Program vendor status for utility programs throughout MA and CT. He was also responsible for building an industry best team of energy professionals and solidifying strategic relationships with utilities in the Northeast including Eversource, National Grid and United Illuminating.

In 2015 Rick and his partner, Mike Santangelo completed a management buyout of the energy division moving the company back into private hands. Rick’s knowledge of the industry and years of leadership serve him well as he continues to grow the company in his role as President.

Rick has an AS Electrical Engineering from The New England Institute of Technology, a BS Management from Charter Oak State and an MS Organizational Management from Eastern Connecticut State University
