
Amanda Swanson MBA, CPA, CGMA
Controller
Amanda Swanson is as Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant who has spent her 19 year career working in both in public accounting and private industry. She joined World Energy Solutions, Inc. (XWES) in October 2012 as the Divisional Finance Manager overseeing all aspects of accounting for the Energy Efficiency Division. Subsequently she was promoted to Accounting Manager who oversaw the corporate month-end close process, financial statement audit and financial reporting in addition to overseeing the Energy Efficiency Division. Upon the sale of the Energy Efficiency Division to become World Energy Efficiency Services, Amanda joined as the Company’s Controller and has proved to be an enormous asset to World Energy Efficiency Services.
Amanda is responsible for all the company’s financial functions, including corporate accounting, compliance, treasury, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and payroll. She also oversees and manages all human resource and legal activities. Upon the formation of World Energy Efficiency Services, all financial processes and systems needed to be established from the ground up. Amanda was solely responsible for hand selecting all the financial systems and creating all the financial processes needed to run the business. Amanda is excellent with all technical as well as financial aspects, and consistently looks for ways to streamline processes. She is an Excel expert, sharing her knowledge with team members by providing hands on training. Amanda is currently pursing becoming an Excel certified trainer and is an exceptional accounting resource for World Energy Efficiency Services.
Amanda has a BS Accounting and an MBA from Salve Regina University.
